On your marks...

It's that time of year again. The time when the temperatures drop outside, flu season has begun, rumors of terrorism and disaster abound, and the "squirrel" within us begins to gather for winter.
I like to use General Conference weekend to inventory our storage and make a plan to replenish.
Make a plan to have on hand EVERYTHING you use in one month. This includes not only food supplies, but also paper products, soaps and detergents, medicine and light bulbs. Try to prepare well enough that you would not need to go to the store for an entire month.
Your next goal should be to have storage for three months. Then, if possible, and desired, work toward that year supply. Finances and storage space come under consideration. Remember, you focus on nutrition and sustenance. Store things you will eat. Always use what you store. If it's not possible to use all you have stored, give it away. Be a good steward.
